Counterseal for iOS

2.4 Demo Release

  1. Ai-Fi.net has produced several different packages with overlapping components. For instance, the PlexiMail used to be dubbed as SecureEmail in the Ai-Fi Central package, CryptoVault as DigiVault and PlexiWallet as Counterseal Wallet. Those overlapping components in the Ai-Fi Central package have not been brought up to date and are in Alpha state. Stick to the Counterseal app if you want to try them out. The other two standalone packages, the CryptoSign and PlexiWallet, are attempts to make them easier to use for those only interested in parts of the Counterseal package. However, for beta testing, please stick to the Counterseal package, which will be the first to get updated when changes are needed.
  2. The PlexiMail binding works well with gmail. For outlook, it needs a separate confirmation from user's regular email client and sometimes causes delay before SecureEmail is able to work fully. For other email accounts, you may encounter some difficulties, depending on how non-standard or how difficult the individual email providers make it to be. It is popular for our users to adopt the PlexiMail, especially for contract negotiation, with an easy-to-bind public email address and hide the real PII (Personally Identifiable Information) through the package, including their real email addresses, within the encrypted PlexiMails.
  3. The Ai-Fi Wallet currently is for creating and storing the key pairs in supporting various Ai-Fi functions taking advantage of the Crypton Tokens in the Ai-Fi Incognito Cloud. Its capability in transacting cryptocurrencies is very limited. The fee charging logic on various Ai-Fi services have not been implemented. To safekeep users' digital assets (email address binding and key storage) and pseudo-IDs, we periodically airdrop Stellar Lumens to our Beta participants to kick things off. Please check our website for this offer at https://counterseal.net.
  4. The IP anonymizing routing is not yet completely integrated. Two candidate schemes are under consideration: Tor or I2P-Zero. Currently we are leaning toward Tor and having plan to offer some Ai-Fi services as Tor Hidden Services.
  5. PlexiMail binding is only for a single email address. It will be extended to serve multiple mailboxes soon.
  6. Ai-Fi Counterseal utilizes pop-up to inform users on various concepts and features. If the iOS system is set with very large Text Size, some pop-up may be oversized and block the view of the content behind it.
  7. If the Dark mode is selected, some of the display and data entry screen may be "white on white" and difficult to see.
  8. Crypton Tokens currently support very limited administrative functions with Create and Open only. Other functions such as Rename/Clone/Delete/Backup are planned.

Counterseal Desktop for Windows

2.0 Beta

  1. The import/export functions need detailed documentation.
  2. This Windows application relies on the paired Counterseal on your mobile phone for authentication and authorization. While this application is running, the Counterseal app will be tied up with the "dark screen" displayed in the foreground. It monopolizes most power consumption and stops all other iOS apps from competing for the foreground. This will be fixed and made more efficient in later releases if iOS allows it. For now, the "lock" mode is the default, which can be turned off to allow shared iOS processing with other apps by going into the Settings and change the option under the "Authorizing Desktop Access" heading.
